East coast backpack tour? - cruising spots in ny
Hello everyone! We (4 of us) is planning a trip back to 10-14 days for States (New York, Phil Washington ...) next summer. We plan to rent a car and a ride in the Southern District of New York a few days of closure of each pair city.It a kind of "DIY" tour, reduce costs, but not sure if we actually or better , go on a tour quide Fixed go with hotels / motels, etc.? What do you think?
(There is no GPS are built in the car, right?)
Even if someone comments, worth seeing - and have not lost outside of the mandatory sights more than welcome.

It's very doable. It can, I-95 south of the city of New York to Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington DC.
Buy an atlas of the United States when you arrive, or by e-mail if you need some planning before you want to start. They have maps for all states and all major cities.
